Starting Line
The boys are back! Dylan has wrapped up a huge season of events and things are settling down a bit as we start winding down the year and looking ahead to the next. A very overdue BroPod is here - a proper catch up and a check in to what success really looks (and feels) like as we chase down our goals and dreams.
The Light At The End Of The Tunnel
The Bro Pod is back! Dylan returns to Second Nature for a proper catch up after a summer on the road, and he and Aaron catch up on the year so far. Dylan looks back on his Hardrock experience, an incredibly booked up summer, and the slump that arrives every October. Aaron shares what seven years of consistency finally looks like: every Super Rider platform now past 100,000 followers, and no longer having to pitch himself relentlessly to get work.
From there they dig into what it takes to build a business in 2026, when anyone can copy what you do. They cover Rapha’s recent turbulence, the newer brands carrying its torch, and why being for a specific group of people may be the best protection. Along the way: holding equity in a company with a delayed IPO, Hunter S. Thompson and choosing three decisions to follow through on instead of worrying about thirty, why acquisition isn’t the only measure of success, an Enneagram check on both hosts, and a special BPC that includes a "first" for the pod.
Here To Help
The most common refrain we hear from friends working at brands is “we need to find content creators, but we are strapped on time”. This is the exact problem that Popfly has solved. If you’re working at a brand that needs this kind of help, you need to check this out (and tell them we sent you), it’ll be worth it. And…if you’re an athlete or creator, you should definitely get on this platform - there are brands, ready to support you and looking for your talent. We’re using it outside of the podcast and having a lot of success with it - and this is exactly why we wanted to partner with Popfly in the first place. Highly recommended!

Article Of The Week
We’ve been loving everything Aaron Kerson (Founder of PNW Components) has been putting out lately. If you haven’t had a look at his writing yet, take a minute to look at the rapidly expanding catalog (goldmine) of insight from someone who has been building a business for over a decade.
Second Nature Is Supported By Halo
Halo is a hospitality platform built by trail runners specifically for sports and event travel. They work with brands, event organizers and professional leagues to simplify one of the most operationally painful parts of any event: lodging. If you’re a brand thinking about experiential marketing, managing travel for your team or professional athletes, or a league handling lodging for your athletes and fans, Halo’s platform gives your brand a custom hotel booking platform and locks in better rates so you’re not managing hotel logistics from scratch. They’re already working with names like Western States, Aravaipa, Rabbit and New Balance.
And if you’re just heading to a race or event yourself this year, it’s worth checking out, too. Same platform with great rates, community, perks from band partners and less hassle. If any of this sounds like you, reach out to their team and tell them you heard about Halo on Second Nature.
BPC - Brand, Product, Content
BPC is our closing segment where we share Brands we’ve discovered, Products we’re using and Content that we love.
☕️ The Coffee Ride: We got Second Nature branded coffee from this crew, and it’s awesome!
⛳️ Gumtree Golf + Nature: Golf brands with style are absolutely crushing it right now - this brand is a new favorite.
💰 Roll The Calls (Book): The ghostwriter behind Andre Agassi’s OPEN and Phil Knight’s Shoe Dog is back again, this time with legendary super agent Ari Emmanuel.
Thank You
Next week’s pod has sort of a crossover vibe to it, we’re joined by a friend-of-the-pod who shares the concept of “Primals” with us. While so many things are changing on an almost-daily basis in our world, there are still some concepts that will never change, and targeting those things could be the real unlock to success. Stay tuned…
